Michael did his primary education at diligent bilingual academy in kumba ,after obtaining his common entrance and first school leaving certificate he move to CCAS Kumba where he did his secondary and high school ,he gain admission into university of Buea  he  later travel to Canada for further studies  where he studied computer science and specialize in computer maintenance and networking ,after graduating ,he took courses in sound engineering , sound design ,and music production.

This artist who is presently based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, made his first venture into music when he was 24, he has released several several singles such as Come Close featuring Tropicoboy and Tyke, ONA ft Tropicoboy, Holiday (single) and Imani which is his most recent single. Jbwai admits that of the most challenges he has faced in his early days as musician, deciding whether to be a singer or a rapper was the toughest decisions he had to make. He concedes he was part of a team and that his challenges were lessened from the help they gave each other while helping him grow at the same time. He has been opening mega concert for top afrobeats artist from Nigeria.

He has been very active in the Canadian Afropop music scene with his singles topping some afrobeat charts , while back home in Cameroon most of his releases have been gaining huge radio and tv rotation on mainstream Cameroonian media  and other west central and  east African region.
